In Lithuania people like to knit

Walking on the street I was a little bit surprised when I saw the downspout which had been knitted around. But it wasn’t only one case. Near Gediminas Tower there was the lamppost, which had been knitted around too.

That tree is situated near the church of Saint Anne.

First time I thought that it was Vilnius thing but when I was walking on the Laisvės Alėja (Liberty Boulevard) in Kaunas I was surprized. There was the big group of trees which were knitted around.

I think it’s really nice thing maybe it’s even a tradition. I don’t know but I like it.

P.S. In Vilnius somebody decided to make the technical railing better. They didn’t knit but they used threads to make a spider webs and the spider.
