Ruins of the Pirita Convent in Tallinn

If you visit Tallinn, it’s impossible not to know about Old Tallinn. So it doesn’t make sence to post pictures from there or describe something. Later I’ll only post some pictures from night Tallinn, and something about park near the Old Tallinn.

However, there the place which less popular among tourists. To go there you need to spend 20-30 minutes by bus from the center. There, in district which is called Pirita, we can find ruins of Pirita Convent.

In 15th century this walls was higher and there was roof. Now it’s popular for chidren who likes to climb there.

That part was the cathedral. Some tablets are saved.

There was a lot of basement. You can go inside. It looks popular for teenager’s party. On the photos you can see a window inside and outside.

The cathedral is destroyed but less then other parts of monastery.

Old cemetery. A lot of graves are unknown now.

Some of crosses are made of iron.
